Body Sculpting
Body Sculpting Treatment
- Cryolipolysis
Mode of Action
Cryolipolysis is a recent non-invasive technique that offers an interesting alternative to conventional surgery (liposuction/liposuction).
It is a technique that consists of destroying fat cells by a freezing mechanism leading to apoptosis (programmed cell death of the cell). The effects are visible and long lasting.
You can expect a loss of roughly 20-30% fat
Indications
Cryolipolisis is for everyone.
This treatment is used to treat stuborn localized fat for example: abdomen, love handles, back, inner thighs, knees, hips.
Contraindications
- Sensitivity to cold
- Bleeding disorders
- Venous circulation problem in the treated area
- Recent scars on the treated area
- Hernia or history of hernia at or near the treated area
- Skin diseases such as eczema, dermatitis, or rashes
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Implanted device such as a pacemaker or defibrillator
How the Session Is Conducted
A handpiece is applied to the area to be treated, which aspirates the area and freezes the targeted fat cells.
The treated area may present a rigid aspect (observed and felt) following the treatment. Temporary whitening of the skin may be observed. You may feel nauseous and dizzy as your body reacts to the treatment. These reactions are normal and usually go away within minutes.
Immediate Consequences
Bruises, swelling and sensitivity may appear on the treated area as well as redness of the skin which may persist for several hours after the treatment.
Possible Complications
Contact us immediately if any side effects not mentioned appear or if symptoms persist.
Results
You can observe results as early as three weeks after the treatment and the most significant results after one to three months, with a loss of around 30% of the overall fat mass depending on the individual and the size of the bulge to be treated. Your body will then continue to naturally shed damaged fat cells for up to four months after treatment. It is possible to perform several sessions until the desired result is obtained. The follow-up consultation at 2 months with your doctor will allow you to decide if an additional session is needed.
What is observed with this method is that in addition to refining and harmonizing the silhouette durably, in the event of weight regain, the treated areas will remain thinner, the adipocytes having been destroyed.
